The champion 40 had a nice enough fender clean channel but the rest sounded bad to me, so i sold it I can get each for. Hi everyone i'm debating on getting fender champion 20 or 40 which one is better for a beginner starting out and has anyone used both it for jimi hendrix country reggae and many styles of music?

I was wondering if anyone has experience with the speaker and tubes replacement for this little 5 watt A peavey bandit 112 teal stripe, a fender champion 100 and a line 6 catalyst 60 or 100 I was going to put in a weber 6 inch for sure but i really just want a clean sound with less break up
So what speaker would work best for this
Also i have read jj tubes work great in this. So i picked this amp up for $150 during a labor day sale and i gotta say it doesn't sound half bad I figured for nearly a hundred bucks off what could i lose The clean channel is real nice sounding and the 2nd channel even has a couple of great sounds in it
I grabbed it as an amp to mostly. I have the champion 40 and the katana 50 Tone is comparable, the fender has a little more character while the katana is more flat and dry but also more full I usually prefer the katana because it has more and better fx and a lot more configurable options like the global eq setting, plus the usb recording and quarter in headphone out.
Championii fender tonemaster / tmp spinoff
(mistakenly posted in 'amps & cabs' previously) definitely not the same thing.but i do think fender learned a lot from developing the tm combos & tmp modeler.because my new fender champion ii 100 212 combo sounds spectacular in some settings (but not all). I'm looking at the fender champion 20 and 40 She likes fender stuff, but i just don't know if the 40 is overkill for her needs It doesn't seem to be much bigger than the 20, but i'm wondering if the 12 speaker will put her off, considering she used to play thru a 5 speaker
This isn't going to be a serious rig, nor will she be tasking lessons. Hey, i recently bought the fender champion 100 and wanted to ask if someone knows how to get a good sounding metal tone out of it because it doesnt soud very metal Maybe the problem is that i dont have humbucker pickups on my guitar Please let me know thanks!
Hello folks, i'm deciding between three amps
